Speaking and PD
Although I am no longer in the classroom, I did not leave willingly. In 2001, I started sharing ideas I had used in my classroom at science and gifted conferences. Soon after, I was receiving requests from other school districts. I did not want to leave my students and fellow teachers behind but in 2006, a coordinator explained to me that I needed to stop being so selfish. When I turned down speaking engagements, I was missing the opportunity to help more teachers meet the needs of their students. So… I caved, and I am now a full-time consultant. Even now, though, I still work with students through tutoring and consulting so I do not feel I have lost touch with “my children.” Below are shortcuts for my speaking and professional development pages.
