“Laurie made an excellent presentation at [school] today for our afternoon of science. It was very valuable to give our teachers an overview of the planning process for science in which we are currently engaged. Her innovative way of structuring an evaluation form was really clever.” Dawn C. from Austin Texas, sent to associate Superintendent of Curriculum

“This was one of the best if not THE BEST staff development course I have ever taken. You are soooooo organized, the data is JUST what I needed. I went home and worked for several hours getting ready to introduce CUBING to my Language Arts Class.” Mona Gayle T. from Houston, Texas

“I was just at your most recent GT course for Comal ISD. First, I must tell you something anecdotal. My daughter is 13 and has been tested GT. So when we were sitting on the couch and I was soooooo excited about all my new toys, I was sharing with her all the new activities. So I arbitrarily opened the menu book for science and found a 2-5-8 chart and told her the basic rules. I told her she needed to choose assignments that total 10 points. With total disregard for points she started picking the ones she wanted to do. I reminded her that she only needed to accumulate 10 points and with genuine interest she said, “Ya, but can’t I do more?” It almost brought tears to my eyes to see how effective your ideas were immediately and I can’t tell you how long it has been since I have been this excited about the beginning of a school year. So much thanks again!” Lee D. from Comal, Texas

“Thank you for being so easy to listen to! Your classes were far superior to most in that respect and in potential for actually being used.” Gail H. from Houston, Texas

“Thanks for a great workshop on Friday. I feel like I have quite a few things to use immediately, as well as several things to share with classroom teachers who have been asking for help. Daniel had begun putting our spelling/vocab activities into menus during the workshop. We were thrilled with your ideas and are so glad we had the opportunity to hear you speak. Please send the “follow-up” templates, etc. I was one of the ones hesitant to write on the handout, but broke down and did :)” Sue T. from Round Rock, Texas

“Thank you very much! This week has given me a whole new prospective as an educator thanks to you!” Courtney D. from Fort Bend ISD

“I attended the Differentiating workshop in Katy yesterday and would like to be on your DL. You did a great job presenting practical information and usable ideas as well as helping me gain insight on exactly what “differentiation” does and does not mean. Your example of differentiation among a wide range of grade level and subject area teachers was helpful. Thanks for sharing!” Charmane V. from Katy ISD

“You were wonderful last evening presenting the GT class on Menus. You well know that it is difficult indeed to reach tired teachers at the end of a long day. The time flew and you gave lots of info on what to try in the classroom that will meet the needs of all learners; GT to Special Ed. I have already shared the Tic Tac Toe Menu with my team and we plan to try it with our center rotation in kindergarten. I can hardly wait for you to publish your Primary book. I am writing to request a copy of the materials for both the Menus class and the Differentiation class from last month. Thank you for giving such meaningful ideas and concepts! Never have I seen Bloom’s so friendly. And might I add, it was fun!” Candy D. from Houston, Texas

“First off, you gave a fabulous presentation Saturday. I enjoyed the day. So many times you sit in on staff developments and you feel like it is a waste of your day. I got a lot of information that I can take back to the classroom on Monday morning and share with my team. I had to brag on you today at school and what a fabulous presentation you gave and just that you make it fun, so teachers want to go back and actually use the materials in their classroom. I truly appreciate you passing along menus and items that you have created. Thank you again for the enjoyable day. I’m really excited to go back to the classroom and start putting menus into place.” Laurie W. (not me!) from Round Rock, Texas

Your workshop was the best I have attended in over a year. I appreciate it!” Marcie B. from Belton ISD
